Dear Congressman Kucinich,

Fortunately this is a free country and everyone has the right to express his or her opinions. It is unfortunate however; that some people use their public office to expound on areas they know little about. It is our feeling that your conduct is unbecoming of an elected official and is misuse of power in its worst form. Your failure to attend even one public hearing to learn What the industry and the NRC is doing to address these serious issues speaks volumes for your disregard for the health, :safety and welfare of the general public.

We have just finished reading the Port Clinton News Herald article regarding your proposal to pull the license to operate Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant in Ottawa County, Ohio. When did you become our representative to Congress? Did the residents of Ottawa County elect you to office? Was there a county mandate for you to take our health and safety issues to heart, and shut down the industry that is vital to the economy of Northwest Ohio. Davis Besse is a major electric producer. In 1998 Davis Besse was off line and Northwest Ohio was close to rolling.brown outs.

Have you ever contacted any of the elected officials in Ottawa County to find out our concerns regarding Davis-Besse? Have you ever visited Davis-Besse or talked with their employees or management regarding your concerns? These are questions we have after reading your press release. Is this just another ploy to get your name in the press so you can further claim you have been given presidential consideration?

We wish to take this opportunity to request you begin spending more time working with the Cleveland City Schools, elevating them to the same status we have reached in Ottawa County. We encourage you to work toward the cleanup of the blighted communities of Cleveland that give the State of Ohio such a bad eye. If you do that, we will work with our elected Federal and State officials to better serve the community of Ottawa County. _-0o J,4t,_,
