Mr. Robert C Mecredy VP Nuclear Operations Rochester Gas and Electric 89 East Ave Rochester, NY 14649-0001 14th January 2003 Dear Mr. Mecredy There is a way to reduce generation risk and increase capacity factor.

Perhaps 25% of maintenance crew time is spent identifying and seeking parts and repair information. By increasing the accessibility and reliability of plant data you can reduce maintenance costs, reduce the maintenance backlog and ultimately improve statistics for capacity factor, costs, safety and reliability.

The solution means leveraging your existing investments in maintenance systems and IT projects with new tools to manage and present holistic plant and system information. For example, you might now start to realize the more elusive benefits that you sought from a Plant Maintenance implementation or from an RCM initiative.

If you would like to discuss this further, or can suggest a colleague that should investigate this for you, then we should make contact as soon as possible. I shall call Sharon Miller next week to arrange a suitable appointment.

Yours truly, Roland Johnson NRX Global Corp.
