Duke Wheeler NRC 11555 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD 20852-2738 Re: Support for the Quad Cities Generating Station
Dear Mr. Wheeler:
I am writing this letter in support of the extension of the Quad Cities Generating Station operating license.
This facility is an important source of electricity in Illinois and the Station has over 700 employees.
The loss of this facility would negatively impact our local economy.
On November 12, 2002 the City Council of the City of Morrison adopted Resolution # 02-07, a resolution of support for license renewal.
I am attaching a copy of this resolution.
We strongly encourage NRC's approval of the extension of the Quad Cities Generating Station operating license.
Sincerely, (27CIL Roger Drey Mayor City of Morrison Enclosure
