Revision 12 to the Yankee Nuclear Power Station Security Plan Pursuant to 10 CFR 50. 5 4 (p) and 10 CFR 50.4(b)(4) of the Commission's Rule and Regulations, Yankee Atomic Electric Company (YAEC) is informing the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of two changes to the Security Plan for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (YNPS).

Revision 12 to the Security Plan incorporates the guidance from Regulatory Issue Summary 2002-17, "Guidance on Performing Military Service Verification". The second change includes the language for the replacement of the Nuclear Alert System (NAS). The attachment specifies which Security Plan pages to insert and remove.

An evaluation of this change in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p) has determined that is does not reduce the effectiveness of the YNPS Security Plan and the Security Plan as a whole continues to meet the standards of 10 CFR 73.55 as applicable.
