RETURN OF LETTER OF CREDIT
Dear Mr. McFarlane:
By letter dated July 25, 2002, to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) you requested that the letter of credit document, issued June 3, 1997, be returned.
By letter dated September 20, 1999, to Mr. Stephen G. Frantz, Marvin M. Mendonca, Senior Project Manager, NRC, documented that Reed College had met the requirement to self-guarantee funds for decommissioning by non-profit colleges in accordance with Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 30. Pursuant to that qualification, the original letter of credit document is no longer needed and is, therefore, enclosed.
