STAFF REQUIREMENTS - BRIEFING ON NRC LESSONS LEARNED: DAVIS-BESSE REACTOR VESSEL HEAD DEGRADATION, 1:00 P.M., TUESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2003, COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM, ONE WHITE FLINT NORTH, ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commission was briefed by the staff on NRC lessons learned regarding the Davis-Besse reactor vessel head degradation. The Commission approves proceeding with the recommendations identified for action by the Senior Management Review Team and looks forward to receiving the overall plan to implement the recommended course of action by March 7, 2003. High priority staff actions should be completed in a timely manner, consistent with resource constraints. The semi-annual status reports should be provided to the Commission for information.
