I am responding to your e-mail dated December 26, 2002. You asked about getting access to the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) for the LaSalle and Braidwood plants.
These documents are not currently available at the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs)
Electronic Reading Room, but copies can be provided upon request.
Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), you can request access to any NRC record. You may be required to pay fees for searching, reviewing, and copying records. Additional information and instructions for making FOIA requests are available on the NRC website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/foia/foia-request.html. Please note that some plant information contained in the UFSAR and other documents may be exempt under the FOIA from disclosure (e.g., safeguards-related information and other sensitive information related to plant security.)
