Response to Open Items and Confirmatory Items and Verification of Accuracy for Safety Evaluation Report (SER) Related to the License Renewal of Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3 Letter from Pao-Tsin Kuo (USNRC) to Michael P. Gallagher (Exelon), dated September 13, 2002
Dear Sir/Madam:
The reference letter requested us to verify the accuracy of the SER and provide additional information to close open and confirmatory items summarized in Sections 1.4 and 1.5 of the SER, respectively. The SER identifies fifteen open items and eighteen confirmatory items. to this letter provides a response to each of the open items. Attachment 2 to this letter provides a response to each of the confirmatory items. Attachment 3 to this letter provides pages of the SER containing comments on its accuracy.
Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station was required by 10CFR54.21 (d) to include a proposed supplement to the UFSAR in our License Renewal Application. As a result of discussions with the NRC and commitments made as part of the review process, Exelon Generation Company, LLC has revised the proposed UFSAR supplement. Attachment 4 to this letter provides the revised UFSAR supplement, which is referenced in the responses to confirmatory items in.
