REGION IV RESIDENT COUNTERPART MEETING
Dear Dr. Eibenschultz:
This letter is to inform you that a resident inspector counterpart meeting will be held on January 14-16, 2003, in the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Region IV office in Arlington, Texas. Accordingly, I would like to extend an invitation for interested members of your staff to join us for this meeting. Previously, Messrs. Aveleyra and Arambula attended the meeting and we found their attendance to be very positive and informative.
One of the principal discussion topics for this meeting will be the lessons-learned from the boric acid-induced corrosion of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station reactor pressure vessel head.
We are eager for your staff to participate in this counterpart meeting and to share our regulatory experiences. I am looking forward to your response.
