The OSC is located above the Control Rooms in Outage Central. The OSC is required to be activated within 60 minutes of the declaration of an Alert classification, or at the direction of the Emergency Director.

The Altemated OSC is located below the Unit 1 Control Room in the Process Instrumentation and Rod Position Instrumentation Area. The Alternate OSC is activated in the event the OSC becomes uninhabitable or access to it is restricted.
