PROJECT NO. P-6335-VAI NATDAM NO. VA83005 NORTH ANNA HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT MAIN DAM/SPILLWAY PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE ADVANCE NOTIFICATION FOR 2002 In the FERC letter, dated February 22, 2000, addressing a summary of requirements in Parts 8 and 12 of the FERC's Regulations, a 10 day notification to FERC is required in advance of plans to remove any public safety device.
For those devices routinely removed annually, a one-time notification providing the reason and schedule for periodic removal and reinstallation is acceptable.
Accordingly, preventive maintenance for the main dam/spillway has been scheduled for 2002. Preventive maintenance will be performed on the radial gates, skimmer gates, hydro unit, hydro generator battery bank, and the emergency diesel generator. The scope of maintenance and the tentative schedule are summarized in Attachment 1.
This letter serves as the pre-work notification for the scheduled maintenance activities.
The dates listed are target dates and may change slightly based an maintenance activities. You will be notified of any significant deviations from this schedule.
