SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE September 2002 The unit began the month at 100% reactor power.

On 09/06/2002 at 0000 power was reduced to 90% to clean 21B waterbox. Power was returned to 100%

on 09/07/2002 at 1100 after the completion of waterbox cleaning. At 1605 Controlled Element Assembly

  1. 37 (CEA) dropped to the bottom causing power to lower to 94.7%. The CEA was returned to the normal position and power was returned to 100% at 1935.

On 09/10/2002 at 0000 power was reduced to 91% to clean 23B waterbox. Power was returned to 100%

at 0839 after the completion of waterbox cleaning.

On 09/13/2002 at 0000 power was reduced to 93% to clean 23A waterbox. Power was returned to 100%

at 0435 after the completion of waterbox cleaning.

On 09/16/2002 at 2345 power was reduced to 94% to clean 22A waterbox. Power was returned to 100%

on 09/17/2002 at 0630 after the completion of waterbox cleaning.

On 09/19/2002 at 2358 power was reduced to 94% to clean 22B waterbox. Power was returned to 100%

at 0423 after the completion of waterbox cleaning.

The unit operated at 100% power for the remainder of the month.
