Newly Appointed Director for Radiation Center Gentlemen:

I have appointed Dr. Andrew Klein as Director of the Oregon State University Radiation Center and TRIGAIRior effective October 1,2002. Dr. Klein replaces the Interim Director, Dr. Jack Higginbotham. By this letter, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is notified of the staff transition in the Director position, as is required by OREGON the Technical Specification 6.7.c.3 of License No. R-106, Docket No.20-243.

STATE Dr. Klein has a long involvement with the OSU TRIGA reactor facility having served UNIVERSITY on the Reactor Operations Committee for the past decade and has been instrumental in the delivery of the reactor neutronics courses and laboratories which utilize the facility.

His administrative experience has included serving as department head of Nuclear 312 Kerr Administration Engineering for the past nine years and as Director of Oregon Space Grant.
