Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 CORRECTION TO ATTACHMENT IN 10 CFR PART 26, FITNESS FOR DUTY PROGRAM SUBMITTAL, AEP:NRC:2691-18 In accordance with 10 CFR 26.71(d), Fitness for Duty Program, submittal AEP:NRC:2691-18, sent on August 27, 2002, represented the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Fitness for Duty Program performance data for the six-month period from January 1, 2002, to June 30,2002.

The attachment was the performance data sheets that included statistics on the various categories of testing, substances for which testing is conducted, and a summary of management actions.

In the last page of the attachment, a self-stick removable note was attached, covering a three inch by three inch square of the document. This submittal provides a clean version of the attachment for required distribution.

There are no new commitments in this submittal.

Attachment to AEP:NRC:2691-20 Page 3 MANAGEMENT ACTIONS:

A meeting was held with laboratory, collection site, Medical Review Officer(s),

Employee Assistance Program staff, and psychological assessment personnel to assure consistent and effective implementation of the fitness for duty (FFD) program.

APPEALS:

Three appeals were received during this reporting period. The appeal process at CNP provides notice and an opportunity to provide additional information for an impartial management review. The appeals review board denied the appeals and determined the test results reported were accurate and the subsequent denial of access was appropriate.

EVENTS:

There was one event identified as 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> reportable in accordance with 10 CFR 26.73 during this reporting period. One contractor supervisor selected for random testing, resulted in a positive for cocaine.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSIONS:

No temporary suspensions or administrative actions were taken against individuals based on on-site presumptive positive drug results.
