SUBJECT:
PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 -
CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NOS. 158 AND 149 REGARDING CONVERSION TO IMPROVED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Dear Mr. Nazar:
On July 26, 2002, the Commission issued Amendment No. 158 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-42 and Amendment No. 149 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-60 for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2. These amendments converted the Technical Specifications (TSs) for Prairie Island, Units 1 and 2, to improved TSs.
The purpose of this letter is to make two corrections to Pages B-2 (of Appendices B, "Additional Conditions," to both licenses) which were issued with Amendment Nos. 158 and 149. First, Pages B-2 were incorrectly numbered. These pages should have been numbered as B-3 instead of B-2. Secondly, the date of July 26, 2002, should have been included in the license conditions for Amendments Nos. 158 and 149 related to the relocation of TS requirements to a licensee-controlled program. This date reflects the date of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staffs safety evaluation.
Please replace Pages B-2 that were issued with Amendment Nos. 158 and 149 with the enclosed corrected Pages B-3.
Sincerely,
/RA/
Tae Kim, Senior Project Manager Project Directorate III-1 Division of Licensing Project Management Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Docket Nos. 50-282 and 50-306
