STN 50-498 and STN 50-499 Adoption and Endorsement of all Outstanding Items Pending on the Docket On December 20, 2001, the NRC issued an order under 10CFR50.80 approving the indirect transfer of control of the 30.8% undivided ownership interest of Reliant Energy, Incorporated (Reliant) in South Texas Project Electric Generating Station (STPEGS) Units land 2 to the new parent holding company, CenterPoint Energy, Inc., as well as Reliant's 30.8% interest in STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC), the licensed operator of STPEGS. At the same time, the NRC approved the direct transfer of Reliant's 30.8% interest in STPEGS and in STPNOC to Texas Genco, LP, which is indirectly wholly owned by CenterPoint Energy, Inc. The NRC further approved amendments to the STPEGS operating licenses to conform the licenses to reflect the subject direct transfers to be issued and made effective at the time the proposed direct transfers are complete.
On behalf of Texas Genco, LP, STPNOC confirms that Texas Genco, LP hereby adopts and endorses all outstanding NRC docket items pending for Docket Nos. STN 50-498 and STN 50-499. If the NRC requires additional information regarding this confirmation, please contact Mr. Scott Head at (361) 972-7136.
