VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - REPLY TO RESPONSE TO ORDER FOR INTERIM SAFEGUARDS AND SECURITY COMPENSATORY MEASURES (TAC NOS. MB4193 AND MB4194)
Dear Mr. Beasley:
On February 25, 2002, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Orders modifying the operating licenses for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, to require compliance with the specified interim safeguards and security compensatory measures (ICMs).
The NRC staffs letter of June 14, 2002, addressed your earlier response to the Orders and granted, in response to your request, an extension of time until July 1, 2002, for your submission of the required response for ICM B.3.c. The NRC staff has reviewed your response to ICM B.3.c, submitted by your letter of June 21, 2002, and finds that you have satisfied the current reporting requirements of the Order.
The NRC will determine the effectiveness of your implementation of the ICMs through on-site inspections.
