SUBJECT:
SURRY UNITS 1 AND 2 - ISSUANCE OF REVISED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS) AMENDMENT PAGE 3.7-20 FOR AMENDMENT NOS. 228 AND 228 (TAC NOS. MA9355 AND MA9356)
Dear Mr. Christian:
The Commission issued Amendment Nos. 227 and 227, and Nos. 228 and 228 to Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-32 and DPR 37 on August 30, 2001, and August 31, 2001, respectively. Both of these amendments included changes to different sections of TS Table 3.7-2 located on TS page 3.7-20. Amendment Nos. 227 and 227 deleted an obsolete note from TS Table 3.7-2 associated with the temporary service water supply jumper that is no longer used. The change also re-lettered the remaining note referenced in the table to account for the deletion of the obsolete note. Amendment Nos. 228 and 228 revised Operator Action note references for three items listed in Table 3.7-2, also on TS page 3.7-20. However, due to an administrative oversight as a result of the amendments being issued only one day apart, the deleted footnote approved in Amendment Nos. 227 and 227 was inadvertently reintroduced in Amendment Nos. 228 and 228.
Consequently, TS page 3.7-20 for Amendment Nos. 228 and 228 is being reissued herein to reflect the previous deletion of the obsolete service water jumper footnote approved in Amendment Nos. 227 and 227 on August 30, 2001. The revised TS page 3.7-20 is enclosed and should replace TS page 3.7-20 previously issued in Amendment Nos. 228 and 228 dated August 31, 2001.
Sincerely,
/RA/
Gordon E. Edison, Sr. Project Manager, Section 1 Project Directorate II Division of Licensing Project Management Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Docket Nos. 50-280 and 50-281
