- POST-REFUELING OUTAGE MEETING, VIRGIL C. SUMMER NUCLEAR STATION - DOCKET NO. 50-395

Dear Mr. Byrne:

This refers to the meeting conducted at your request at our office in Atlanta, Georgia on August 27, 2002. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the recent Virgil C. Summer refueling outage and other items of interest. A list of attendees and presentation handouts are enclosed.

At the meeting, your staff presented an informational overview of activities performed during Refueling Outage 13 and discussed the upcoming spent fuel pool re-rack project and the status of your corrective action program. Outage activities discussed included outage goals, major projects and an update on the reactor vessel leg cracking issue.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
