2 2F31 Reactor scram due to loss of condenser vacuum.

SUMMARY

Unit 2 began the mo-nth of July 2002 at 100% of rated thermal power (RTP).

On July 23ru at 16:13 hours, reactor power was reduced due to decreasing condenser vacuum. At 16:32 hours and 74% RTP, th-emain turbine was manually tripped and the reactor was manually scrammed due to decreasing condenser vacuum.

On July 27' at 05:24 hours, the main generator was synchronized to the grid at 20% RTP. At 08:44 hours, the main generator was tripped for turbine overspeed testing. At 11:44 hours, the main generator was re synchronized to the grid at 18% RTP.

On July 28u' at 08:22 hours, reactor power was restored to 100% RTP. At 22:00 hours, reactor power was reduced from 97% to 78% RTP for rod pattern adjustment.

On July 29' at 03:11 hours, reactor power was restored to 100% RTP. At 23:00 hours, reactor power was reduced to 96% RTP ro perform troubleshooting of the Condenser Air Removal System.

On July 30ý at 00:09 hours, reactor power was restored to 100% RTP.

On July 3 1S', at 22:00 hours, reactor power was reduced to 98% RTP to repair the 2A recirculation pump
