- 1. Letter from Michael R. Kansler (ENOI, ENGC) and Gary J. Taylor (EOI) dated July 20, 2001 (IPN-01-055, JPN-01-011, ENGC Ltr.-l.2.01.079, CNRO-2001-00030)
Dear Sir:
By Order dated May 17, 2002 the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved the transfer of the license for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (VY) held by Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation to Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO) as the entity to operate VY. On July 31, 2002, the NRC issued conforming amendments to the VY Facility Operating License to support the closing of the license transfer on the same date.
In Reference 1, Entergy (EOI, ENGC, ENOI) submitted a revised exemption request on the subject item for its fleet of nuclear facilities. In Reference 2, ENO added Indian Point I and 2 to the list of Entergy plants adopting and incorporating by reference the revised exemption request.
In this letter, ENO's newly acquired Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station is incorporating and adopting by reference the revised submittal as though it were being made today.
