Transfer of Facility Operatin2 Licenses On May 17, 2002 the NRC issued an Order approving the transfer of license for Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station from Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation to Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee, LLC and Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Reference a).
Condition 5 of that Order requires that NRC be notified of the closing date of the sale and transfer of Vermont Yankee no later than 7 business days prior to the date of closing. Please be advised that subject to the fulfillment of the conditions set forth in the purchase and sale agreement between the parties and subject to receipt of all required regulatory approvals in an acceptable form, the parties to the proposed license transfer currently intend to close on the license transfer as early as July 31, 2002. Vermont Yankee and Entergy are currently addressing a number of issues that we hope to work out between now and the closing date.
