SUMMARY

OF THE JUNE 12, 2002, PUBLIC MEETINGS TO DISCUSS THE IMC 0350 PROCESS AT DAVIS-BESSE On June 12, 2002, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held two public meetings at the Oak Harbor High School in Oak Harbor, Ohio. The first meeting was between the NRC IMC 0350 Oversight Panel and FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) to discuss the licensees restart plan for Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station. A transcript of this meeting is provided in Enclosure 1. A copy of the licensees slide presentation is provided in Enclosure 2.

The second meeting was between the NRC and members of the public. During the meeting, the NRC summarized the discussion from the earlier meeting between the NRC and FENOC.

A public question and answer session followed the summary.
