PREDECISIONAL ENFORCEMENT CONFERENCE (NRC OFFICE OF INVESTIGATIONS CASE NO. 3-2001-017)
PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT
Dear Mr. Nazar:
This letter confirms the discussion between Mike Kunowski of this office and Jeff Kivi of your staff to have a predecisional enforcement conference at the NRC office at 801 Warrenville Road, Lisle, Illinois, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (CDT) on Friday, August 2, 2002. The purpose of this conference is to discuss apparent violations of the NRC requirement to provide complete and accurate information related to the April 13, 2001, request for a Notice of Enforcement Discretion for the D6 emergency diesel generator and the subsequent NRC special inspection in May 2001. Details of the apparent violations were provided in a letter to you dated April 23, 2002. This conference will be transcribed, but will be closed to public observation because it is based on the findings of an investigation report that has not been publicly disclosed.
We will gladly discuss any questions you may have concerning this matter.
