REVISION TO THE PALISADES NUCLEAR POWER PLANT NRC INSPECTION SCHEDULE

Dear Mr. Cooper:

On June 24, 2002, we received a written correspondence from Ms. Laurie A. Lahti of your staff requesting that the NRC consider rescheduling the August 2002 Problem Identification and Resolution (PI&R) inspection at the Palisades plant due to the implementation of a new electronic corrective action program and the staff resources needed to implement that change.

We have evaluated your staffs request and have rescheduled the PI&R inspection to the weeks of November 4 and November 18, 2002. This change was communicated to your staff via a telephone conversation between Ms. B. Dotson of you staff and Mr. S. Orth of mine, on July 12, 2002. If you have any questions concerning this information, please contact Mr. S. Orth at 630-829-9827 or myself at 630-829-9872.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
