North Atlantic letter to Mr. Samuel J. Collins (NYN-02029), Answer To The Commission's Order Modifying Licenses (Effective Immediately) And Request For Extension Of Time, dated March 18, 2002.

The referenced letter provided the North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation (North Atlantic) response to the NRC Order issued pursuant to 10 C.F.R. 2.202 requiring North Atlantic to implement interim security measures at Seabrook Station. In a few instances, as detailed in the North Atlantic response, North Atlantic was unable to complete the necessary evaluations to determine the appropriate actions and implementation schedule within the required response time. As specified in the Order, North Atlantic requested an extension of time until June 17, 2002 to submit an answer to certain requirements. The supplemental response addressing the individual requirements subject to the request for extension of time is provided in Enclosure 1.

Should you have any questions concerning this response, please contact Mr. James M. Peschel, Manager - Regulatory Programs, at (603) 773-7194.

Very truly yours, NORTH ATLANTIC ENERGY SERVICE CORP.
