NUCLEAR MATERIAL SAFETY AND SAFEGUARDS PRESENTATION AT THE INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR THE SAFE DECOMMISSIONING OF NUCLEAR ACTIVITIES, OCTOBER 14-18, 2002 In accordance with Management Directive 3.9, attached, for your transmittal to Commissioner Assistants, for information, are the papers, Update on the Status of the West Valley Demonstration Project and The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions Decommissioning Process. The papers do not address new or unresolved policy issues and will be presented during a poster session at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) International Conference for the Safe Decommissioning of Nuclear Activities, October 14-18, 2002, in Berlin, Germany. The presentations will be made by Larry W. Camper of the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, Division of Waste Management.
