RAS 4505 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA DOCKETED 06/07/02 NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION SERVED 06/07/02 ATOMIC SAFETY AND LICENSING BOARD Before Administrative Judges:
Thomas S. Moore, Chairman Dr. Peter S. Lam Dr. Thomas S. Elleman In the Matter of TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY (Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 & 2; Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit 1)
Docket Nos. 50-327-OLA, 50-328-OLA, 50-390-OLA ASLBP No. 02-796-01-OLA June 7, 2002 MEMORANDUM The Licensing Board had hoped to issue a decision by the end of May ruling on the intervention petitions filed in this consolidated proceeding. The conflicting schedules of the judges on the Board, however, have made that impossible. It now appears that the Boards decision will be delayed until the first week of July. Judge Elleman, a part-time member of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel and a member of this Board, is on extended travel and is unavailable until after June 25. Judge Lam, as a member of the Private Fuel Storage Licensing Board, has been in a hearing in Salt Lake City, and his duties in that proceeding have made him unavailable. Accordingly, barring any additional unforeseen eventualities, the Licensing Boards decision on the intervention petitions will be issued by July 3, 2002.
