FORT CALHOUN STATION, UNIT NO. 1 - RETRACTION OF THE REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION OF EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF 10 CFR PART 50, APPENDIX R, "FIRE PROTECTION PROGRAM FOR NUCLEAR POWER FACILITIES OPERATING PRIOR TO JANUARY 1, 1979" (TAC NO. MB4457)
Dear Mr. Ridenoure:
By letter dated February 27, 2002, Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) requested a clarification of the exemption approved by the NRC by letter dated July 3, 1985, from the requirements of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix R, "Fire Protection Program for Nuclear Power Facilities Operating Prior to January 1, 1979." OPPD has decided that it will propose a new exemption request from certain requirements of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix R, for Fire Area 32 at a later date. As such, OPPD is retracting the request for a clarification of the exemption.
With issuance of this letter, all work associated with TAC No. MB4457 is complete.
