Dear Administrative Judges:
This letter is in response to a May 29, 2002 telephone inquiry by Mr. Lee Dewey, counsel for the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board, on behalf of Judge Moore.
The NRC Staff is planning to complete its review of the license amendment applications that are the subject of the above-referenced consolidated proceedings by the end of August 2002 with respect to Watts Bar, and by the end of September 2002 with respect to Sequoyah. The Staff is also currently planning to issue environmental assessments regarding the license amendments by the end of this month. Should there be any significant changes in the foregoing schedule, the Board and those on the service list will be notified.
