INTRODUCTION The reactor operated continuously in March with the following exceptions: five shutdowns for scheduled maintenance and refueling. Performed two short duration startups to 9MW for NRC operator examination. There were no unscheduled shutdowns this month.
MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES 3/4/02 Refueled - removed core 02-11, loaded core 02-12.
Installed new square root converter for flow transmitters 912A and 912E in accordance with Modification Record 01-4, Addendum No. 6.
3/11/02 Refueled - removed core 02-12, loaded core 02-13.
Replaced P501B-primary system pump and motor.
3/12/02 Refueled - removed core 02-13, loaded core 02-14.
Shutdown to investigate inner airlock door seal leak. Replaced bladder.
3/18/02 Refueled - removed core 02-14, loaded core 02-15.
Transferred eight spent fuel elements to the BMI cask in preparation for shipment to the Westinghouse Savannah River Site.
Installed new solenoid valves 5291 and 529J for anti-siphon system valves 543 A and B in accordance with Modification Record 0 1-6.
3/25/02 Refueled - removed core 02-15, loaded core 02-16.
Removed, rebuilt, and reinstalled P508B-pool system pump.
Installed new pool AT adder-subtracter unit in accordance with Modification Record 0 1-4, Addendum No. 3.
