IAEA COUNTRY NUCLEAR POWER PROFILES Attached for your reference is a copy of the latest edition of the Country Nuclear Power Profiles published by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The first edition of the profiles was published in 1998 and information in the current edition is current as of 1999 for 31 countries with operating nuclear power plants, as well as Italy and Iran. The IAEA maintains a database containing the profile information and will publish future editions on a periodic basis.
Please note that the Safety Profiles referred to in the Foreword are only for countries receiving technical cooperation assistance from the IAEA (usually countries without nuclear power reactors) and are only available for internal IAEA use.
The IAEA Country Nuclear Power Profiles and other profiles, such as radioactive waste management, are also available on the OIP internal web site under Country Profiles & Links (http://irm12.nrc.gov/OIP/netcat.htm).
