Dear Ms. Vietti-Cook:

During an April 29, 2002, telephone conference call in support of Pacific Gas and Electric Company's ("PG&E") November 30, 2001, application to transfer the NRC operating licenses for the Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Units 1 and 2, an NRC Staff reviewer requested supplemental financial information for the nuclear operations of Electric Generation LLC. In a response dated May 1, 2002, PG&E provided the requested information to the Staff.

By this letter, PG&E is providing the service list in the pending proceeding with a copy of the non-proprietary version of the company's response to the Staff s request for additional information. The full submission contained confidential commercial or financial information and, thus, PG&E requested that the information be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 C.F.R. §§ 9.17(a)(4) and 2.790. Should an interested party wish to review a proprietary version, an appropriate non-disclosure agreement will be required.

Dear Commissioners and Staff:

On November 30, 2001, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (P(3&E) filed an application pursuant to Section 184 of the Atomic Energy Act and 10 CFR 50.80, requesting Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) consent to the transfer of the NRC operating licenses for the Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Units 1 and 2 (DCPP).

PG&E requested these transfers in connection with a comprehensive Plan of Reorganization for PG&E filed under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. to this letter provides supplemental financial information for the nuclear operations of Electric Generation LLC, as requested by the NRC staff during an April 29, 2002, telephone conference call in support of the November 30, 2001, DCPP license transfer application.

Enclosure I contains confidential commercial or financial information. PG&E requests that the information be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 9.17(a)(4) and 10 GFR 2.790. The proprietany nature of this enclosure is described in an attached Affidavit. A non-proprietary version of Enclosure 1, suitable for public disclosure, is also provided as Enclosure 2.
