FERMI 2 - CHANGES TO PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED NRC SAFEGUARDS INSPECTION
Dear Mr. O'Connor:
On March 4, 2002, the NRC issued an annual assessment letter covering the period from April 2001 to December 2001. This letter contained a preliminary schedule of NRC safeguards inspections through December 2002. Due to follow up issues associated with the events of September 11, 2001, circumstances unforseen when the schedule was developed, and emergent issues, we have decided to modify the upcoming safeguards inspection dates. The original dates of the inspection were August 5-9, 2002. The new dates for the inspection are May 13-17, 2002.
This change has been discussed with T. Stack of your staff. If you have questions regarding the NRC actions discussed above, please contact Mr. James Creed at (630) 829-9857.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
