RESPONSE TO CONFIRMATORY ACTION LETTER, DATED MARCH 27, 2002
Dear Mr. Bergendahl:
This letter acknowledges our receipt of your plan and schedule for completing and submitting to the NRC an assessment of the safety significance of the reactor pressure vessel head degradation at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, as required by Item 6 of the NRCs Confirmatory Action Letter, dated March 13, 2002.
Based upon our review of the plan and schedule, your response is acceptable and we consider Item 6 of the Confirmatory Action Letter to be closed. We look forward to receiving your safety significance assessment by April 8, 2002.
