DPV re: Restart of Indian Point
Dear Ms. McNamara and Mr. Silk,
I just secured a copy of your DPV on the restart of Indian Point from ADAMS.
I just wanted to drop you an e-mail and to thank you for your efforts.
I I have long been discouraged by the NRC's treatment of emergency planning as secondary in importance to reactor safety.
However, it is encouraging to know that there are individuals within the NRC that are trying to do the right thing.
As you may or may not know, I filed a 2.206 petition on the same issue and found Mr. Collin's arguments rejecting my petition to be at best specious. I am again working on nuclear safety &
emergency planning issues around Indian Point and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with either or both of you about the status of your DPV and emergency planning at Indian Point.
Sincerely, Jim Riccio Jim Riccio Greenpeace 702 H Street NW #300 Washington, DC 20001 202-319-2487 202-462-4507 Page 1
