Joseph Kaplan 2401 South Ocean Drive Apartment 603 Hollywood, FL 33019-2643 Secretary of the Commission U.S. NRC Washington, D.C. 20555 Attention: Rulemakings and Adjudications Staff February 1L 2002 Dear Mr./Ms. Secretary I write to oppose extending the licenses of the St. Luce and Turkey Point Power Plants. I believe other sources of energy such as solar and wind poweer offer a safer, cheaper means of meeting our energy requirements. Dr. Michio Kocko Proffessor of Physics of the City University of New York has documented the hazards of Nuclear Power and I believe his research should be given credence with your decision on this issue.
