Purpose:

The NRC staff and FENOC management will discuss the results of the NRCs assessment of the safety performance at Beaver Valley Power Station for the period April 1, 2001, to December 31, 2001. This assessment is described in the annual assessment letter dated March 1, 2002, and can be found at:

The agenda for this meeting will consist of an overview of the NRCs Reactor Oversight process and a presentation on the annual safety assessment of Beaver Valley Power Station given by NRC staff, followed by an FENOC management response to the assessment. Information relative to this annual safety performance assessment can be found at:

2 Note: This meeting is open to the public for observation. The NRC staff will be available at the end of the meeting to answer questions from the public. The NRC encourages public participation by observation of this annual safety performance assessment meeting and by providing questions and comments to the NRC staff following the meeting either in person or in writing. Members of the public are also encouraged to provide comments or questions in writing in advance of the meeting. Comments can be sent to John F.
