50-259 50-260 50-296 RESPONSE TO ISSUANCE OF ORDER FOR INTERIM SAFEGUARDS AND SECURITY COMPENSATORY MEASURES FOR BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1, 2 AND 3; SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANTS, UNITS 1 AND 2; AND WATTS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 1 In accordance with 10 C.F.R. § 50.4, (TVA) hereby submits its response to Security Compensatory Measures Order by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission the Tennessee Valley Authority the Interim Safeguards and (hereinafter "Order") issued (NRC) on February 25, 2002.
Pursuant to the requirements of 10 C.F.R.
§ 2.202, Enclosure 1 to this letter provides TVA's Answer to the Order.
In most respects, the Answer consents to the Order.
With respect to certain Interim Compensatory Measures transmitted in Attachment 2 in the Order that are identified in to this response, TVA is requesting an extension of time in which to request a hearing.
This request is being made in a separate letter to the Director, Office of Nuclear Regulation, dated March 18, 2002.
NOTICE: to TVA's response to this Order contains "Safeguards Information."
Upon separation of Enclosure 2 to this
- response, this letter and to this response are "DECONTROLLED."

SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 March 18, 2002 to this response provides detailed responses to the Interim Compensatory Measures which were transmitted as Attachment 2 to the Order.
These responses contain "Safeguards Information" as defined in 10 C.F.R.
§ 73.21.
