Security Compensatory Measures for the Order dated February 25, 2002" Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.4 and the security Order (reference 1), Energy Northwest herein submits its response to the required interim compensatory actions specified in the Order for Columbia Generating Station (Columbia).
Energy Northwest acknowledges that these actions are interim and the Order is based upon the need to take prudent actions in response to the continuing generalized high-level threat environment that exists following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Energy Northwest also acknowledges that the requirements contained in the Order will remain in effect until notification from the Commission that a significant change in the threat environment has occurred, or until the Commission determines that changes are needed following a more comprehensive re-evaluation of current safeguards and security programs. The Columbia operating license has been modified to require compliance with the required interim compensatory measures contained in Attachment 2 of the referenced Order. of this letter contains "Safeguards Information" and contains Energy Northwest's itemized response to each of the compensatory measures in accordance with sections B. 1.(2) and C. 1 of the referenced Order.
