Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Unit Nos. 1 & 2; Docket Nos. 50-317 & 50-318 10 CFR Part 26 Report; Fitness for Duty This letter is to report an unsatisfactory performance testing result that was conducted by Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, Norristown, PA, as required by 10 CFR Part 26, Appendix A, Subpart 2.8(e)(4).
One blind performance test urine sample containing amphetamine and methamphetamine was reported as negative on February 16, 2002.
Quest Diagnostics Incorporated was contacted on February 19, 2002, and reported that the specimen tested negative on initial screening. The specimen was re-assayed by the initial test (immunoassay) and was assayed by GC/MS confirmed method, and confirmed positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. The Corrective Action Report from Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is attached.
The following attachments were gathered in our investigation:
(1) Certificate of Analysis from ElSohly Laboratories, Incorporated dated February 19, 2002, for the amphetamine and methamphetamine Batch A-1955.
