MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - 2002 U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) TRAINING MANAGERS' CONFERENCE Region II NRC will host a Training Managers Conference on April 25 and 26, 2002. The meeting will be held in Bridge Conference Room D of the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center at 61 Forsyth Street in Atlanta, Georgia. The meeting will start at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 25 and end at 12 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2002.
Members of your operations and training staffs are invited to attend this conference. Please notify Ms. Pat Davenport of my staff at (404) 562-4622 or by electronic mail to pmd@nrc.gov with the names and positions of your staff who plan to attend the conference.
The purpose of this conference is to inform regional training and operations management of issues and policies that affect the licensing of reactor plant operators. The theme for this years conference will be, Enhancing Efficiency and Communications. Topics of discussion will include examination scheduling and planning, experiences with shared development of examinations, exam development costs and other operator licensing and training topics. This meeting is an open meeting as per "Staff Meetings Open to the Public; Final Policy Statement" (September 20, 2000; 65 FR 56964).
