SUBJECT:
COMPLAINT REGARDING ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR OF ENTERGY EMPLOYEE
Dear Ms. Lampert:
On behalf of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I am responding to your e-mail dated March 2, 2002.
In your e-mail, you specifically referred to an incident involving an Entergy employee which occurred outside the Selectmans Meeting Room in Plymouth, Massachusetts on February 26, 2002. Your e-mail also referred to our letter to you dated February 22, 2002, which responded to your letter dated November 30, 2001. In that letter you also expressed concerns regarding the actions and statements of Entergy employees.
I have reevaluated your concern, as well as our original February 22, 2002, response. I believe our original response to you was accurate and appropriate. As we stated in our February 22, 2002, response, the NRC does not have jurisdiction over such matters. Citizen complaints regarding the behavior of a licensees employees are outside of the NRCs regulatory purview, unless such complaints directly relate to nuclear safety issues that affect the health and safety of the public. We suggest that you contact Entergys senior management or appropriate local agencies to discuss your specific concerns.
Sincerely,
/RA/
