MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - PLANS FOR AN INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION AT THE BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT -
50-259, 50-260, AND 50-296
Dear Mr. Scalice:
This letter confirms the communication between Mr. Steven Austin of the Browns Ferry Nuclear facility and Dr. William Gloersen of my staff on February 27, 2002, concerning a meeting to be conducted on March 14, 2002, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Your staff requested this meeting to present your plans for spent fuel dry storage at the Browns Ferry Nuclear facility. The location of the meeting will be at the NRC Region II Office, 61 Forsyth Street, SW, Conference Room 24T20 of the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, Atlanta, Georgia. This meeting will be an open meeting as per "Staff Meetings Open to the Public; Final Policy Statement" (September 20, 2000; 65 FR 56964).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in NRC's Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
