Docket No. 50-352 Attachment to Monthly Operating Report for December 2001 Limerick Generating Station Unit 1 December 1 through December 31, 2001 Narrative Summary of Operatinq Experiences Unit 1 began the month of December 2001 at 100% of rated thermal power (RTP).

Throughout the month, unless specified below, when the unit operated at less than 1"O% RTP, it was due to end-of-cycle operation required to maintain margin to thermal limits.

On December 7th at 2210 hours0.0256 days <br />0.614 hours <br />0.00365 weeks <br />8.40905e-4 months <br />, reactor power was reduced to 63% RTP for quarterly MSIV and Turbine valve testing, leak repair on the 1 D waterbox, and replacement of the DC solenoid on MSIV HV-041-1F028C. On December 9 th at 0217 hours0.00251 days <br />0.0603 hours <br />3.587963e-4 weeks <br />8.25685e-5 months <br />, reactor power was restored to 100% RTP.

On December 2 61h at 1119 hours0.013 days <br />0.311 hours <br />0.00185 weeks <br />4.257795e-4 months <br />, reactor power was reduced to 94% RTP to remove the 6A feedwater heater from service. On December 2 6th at 1255 hours0.0145 days <br />0.349 hours <br />0.00208 weeks <br />4.775275e-4 months <br />, reactor power was restored to 100% RTP.

Unit 1 ended the month of December 2001 at 99% RTP.

Challenges to Main Steam Safety Relief Valves There were no challenges to the Main Steam Safety Relief Valves during the month of December. There have been no challenges to the Main Steam Safety Relief Valves on Unit 1 year-to-date.
