SUBJECT:
USE OF BLAIR HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM FOR PUBLIC MEETING
Dear Mr. Shanahan:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is engaged in a review of a License Renewal Application of the Fort Calhoun Station Unit 1 for an additional 20 years. The application was submitted by the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) on January 9, 2002.
As part of its review, the NRC is planning to hold 2 public meetings in the vicinity of the Fort Calhoun site on June 18, 2002, to discuss the scope of its review with members of the public. I have checked with your facility administrator, and understand that the Blair Senior High School auditorium (440 N 10th St, Blair, NE) is available on that date. As such, we would like to rent the facility and support equipment from 11:00am until 10:00pm on June 18, 2002. Enclosed is a list of equipment needs and a diagram showing the proposed locations of tables, microphones, etc.
