STEAM GENERATOR ACTION PLAN - COMPLETION OF ITEM NUMBER 2.6(a) (TAC NO. MB2446)
As discussed in the Steam Generator Action Plan dated November 16, 2000, completion of each of the major milestones in the action plan is to be documented by a memorandum provided by the lead division to the associate directors in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. This memorandum documents completion of milestone Item Number 2.6(a).

Incorporate experience gained from the IP2 event and the SDP into planned initiatives on risk communication and outreach to the public.
Using the experience gained from the IP2 steam generator tube failure event and information on risk communication techniques, the staff developed recommendations for incorporation into an agency-wide risk communication plan. These non-publicly available recommendations were transmitted via a memorandum from Samuel J. Collins to Patricia G. Norry dated January 31, 2002. The ADAMS accession number for the cover letter is ML012760362. The issuance of the memorandum completes the action plan milestone Item Number 2.6(a).
