David, I have made some good progress in getting the consultant appointment set up for Ian. I may be being too optimistic but we may with some pushing be able to get it in place by the end of next week. I am not in favor of trying a new approach at this point, especially since Ian is an exceptionally good inspector and he is very experienced in the area of SGs.

Ted, The Region remains flexible, but the timing still depends when Emmett will be done with the SE.

For planning purposes, since we expect the CMOA soon with possibly a meeting to follow on the week of 6/12, I am thinking that the Wayne Schmidt and Greg Cranston will be on site next week 6/5. They will not return till 6/19, which will allow your staff some time to review and identify any specific items you deem the inspection team should verify. Regarding staffing, I think we should have a contingency staffing in place. If by the end of next week, Ian's availability is still questionable, I suggest we look for an alternate.

Jerry Blake comes highly recommended. I would have to go to Region II ( I have not yet approached them).

David, The contract with Manu isn't working out. I don't think that I can get the consultant arrangement with Ian worked out as fast as you are indicating. If I can't get Ian on board for a couple more weeks, will we be overtaken by events? I will push hard on this but I don't know how long it will take.

Sounds like you've made progress. Wayne is on site (IP2) this week. He and Greg Cranston will be on site the next two weeks as well. If you can swing it, it would be nice to get Ian to the site next week, and Ian and Manu the following week. I'll be on site next week for a formal entrance. Wayne is planning for Wednesday.

Ian, I need some information from you to complete a form to request your appointment as a consultant, per our conversation last Saturday. The info that I need is:

First, Middle and Last Name Date of Birth Address Phone Number Date of Retirement Social Security Number Type of clearance you had when you retired (Q or L)

Grade and Step at retirement VYY)

I will use this info to fill out a form and Bernie will be sending you some additional forms to fill out.

Hopefully we can get this set up shortly but at this point I am not sure how long this takes. Region I has already started the inspection so we will push it as fast as we can.
