SUBJECT:
DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF POWER UPRATE FOR ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNIT 2 (TAC NO. MB0789)
The Policy and Rulemaking Program (RPRP) staff has prepared the attached draft environmental assessment (EA) of the Entergy Operations, Inc. request for an amendment to the operating license of its Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 2 (ANO-2). The proposed amendment would permit an approximately 7.5-percent increase in the maximum power level (2815 megawatts thermal to 3026 megawatts thermal). In accordance with staff guidance for the extended power uprate program, the draft EA should be published in the Federal Register with a 30-day public comment period.
