SUMMARY

December 2001 The reactor operated continuously in December with the following exceptions: five shutdowns for scheduled maintenance and refueling.
Major maintenance items for the month included:
- 1. Performing biennial control blade offset mechanism change-out of position "C".
- 2. Installing a digital run-time meter in the Control Room for the emergency diesel generator.
- 3. Performing flange gasket and valve diaphragm refurbishment and replacement associated with DI-200 deionization tank.
- 4. Replacing the door control solenoids on the inner personnel airlock door (door 277).
- 5. Repairing a minor leak on secondary side of primary heat exchanger 503A.
MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES Date 12/03/01 Refueled - removed core 01-56, loaded core 01-57.
12/10/01 Refueled - removed core 01-57, loaded core 01-58.
Completed biennial changeout of control blade offset mechanism "C".
12/17/01 Refueled - removed core 01-58, loaded core 01-59.
Installed digital run-time meter in the control room for the emergency diesel generator.
Refurbished and replaced flange gaskets and valve diaphragms associated with DI-200 deionization tank.
12/24/01 Refueled - removed core 01-59, loaded core 01-60.
Replaced the door control solenoids on the inner personnel airlock door (door 277).
12/31/01 Refueled - removed core 01-60, loaded core 01-61.
Completed repairs of a minor leak on the secondary side of primary heat exchanger 503A. This repair was to remove an existing epoxy patch and apply a new one. The existing patch had begun to seep slightly.
